Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) are a key part of any commercial fire safety plan its also a legal requirement to ensure smoke clears quickly from passageways, stairwells and all other access routes.

AOV systems are used as a method of smoke ventilation in many large premises, communal areas in apartments, as a way of ensuring emergency exit routes are free of smoke to aid the safe evacuation of those occupying the building at the time. With control panels, smoke detectors and call points installed, when the system is activated, the vent, window or roof light is then activated to open automatically.
